Overview of Academic Research

The research in my group has been focused on the discovery of new strategies and new heteroatom incorporation methodologies towards the efficient and inexpensive synthesis and modification of drugs, natural products, as well as bioactive compounds. Meanwhile, our goal was also to design and discover new drugs for the treatment of metabolic syndrome. We have published >180 papers in Nature, Science,Nat. Chem.,Nat. Catal. and other journals. Some good candidates for the treatment of cancers and diabetes mellitus including nonalcoholic steatohepatitis were identified.
